It's Been A While...

It's been a while since I've done anything with my blog so I thought I'd update what's been going on. Last month, I was given the opportunity to attend the National Student Nurses Assoc. convention, in Orlando, FL because I am Secretary of the Utah Student Nurses Assoc. Two other classmates that held positions in USNA, Jared Larmore and Ashley Felsted attended, as well. It was a blast! Dax stayed with his Grandma Cannon and had lots of fun playing with his cousins.
I finished my spring semester the last week of April. Woohoo! One more semester to go and then I'll graduate with my Bachelors :) I'm excited for summer and to have a little break. Cole should be coming home in a couple weeks and we are SO excited!! We miss him SO much!!
Dax is getting bigger and smarter everyday! He is so funny and a joy to be with. If he hears airplanes outside he gets excited and says "It's my Daddy!!" He's so excited!

Happy Birthday Dax!! I can't believe Daxson is already 3 years old!! He is such a blessing and joy to have in our lives. :) (My brother, Jordan, and Dax's birthdays are both on Jan.19. Happy Birthday Jordan!!) We had a birthday party for Dax the sunday before his birthday with the family. He loved playing with his cousins and the new toys he got.

Christmas

Cole was able to come home Dec. 18 until Jan. 3. It flew by sooo fast, but we had a lot of fun!!!!! We already miss him soooo much! While he was here, we went to Salt Lake for a couple days and also to Circleville to spend time with his family. Christmas was great! We had to wake Dax up in the morning (He loves to sleep in most of the time). Santa came and brought lots of presents for our family. :)

The next week, we went snowboarding at Brian Head and stayed in the Grand Lodge up there. Cole was so patient with me since I'm still learning how to snowboard. It was so much fun!! :)

Cole is doing well and is keeping busy in Afghanistan. We are so excited that we get to have Cole home for the holidays! Dax and I miss him so much!! One more week of school for me and then off for a break until the Spring semester begins. Yay!

It's been a while since I have been able to update my blog since we have been super busy. I have about 3 weeks left of school. Yay!!! I can't wait!! We also found out that Cole gets to come for leave for 2 weeks in December-We are sooooo excited to see him! We miss him sooo much! It's amazing how much Dax has grown since Cole has left. I know he will be so excited to see his Daddy. :)

Last weekend Dax and I were able to go to the circus in Salt Lake. We went with my parents, Jordan and Andrea and some of my aunts, uncles and cousins. It was really fun! Dax got a 4-wheeler with a little guy riding it. He loves it :) Thank you for the tickets Mom and Dad!!!

Last Weekend

Last week, my mom came down to visit for a few days. It was great, especially because I had clinicals from 6a-6p Friday and I didn't want to Dax to be at day care all day. So Friday while I was doing my clinicals, Dax and Grandma went and hung out in St. George. They went to the park to play and had lunch with his great grandparents.
Saturday, we drove down to St. George to play. We went to the park they had gone to the day before. It was actually a pretty cool park in Bloomington. There was an area off to the side of the playground that had water shoot up and come out of some pipes for the kids to play in. My uncle Randy, his wife Natalee and their cute little boy, Camden, came to play, too. Dax had a blast! I think Camden thought it was pretty fun, too. :) After the park, we did some shopping. I found a cute Halloween costume for Dax at Old Navy. He's going to be a lion. :)

I was able to go and see Cole in Seattle, WA Sept. 2-5 for a few days before he left the US for deployment. I loved it! It was so much fun! I hadn't seen him for a while since he has been in training. Seattle was beautiful. I was able to meet some of the people in his attachment, too. It was hard leaving Seattle to go back home. (Especially because his birthday was the next day)
Cole made Dax a moose at Build-a-Bear that says "Dax, I love you!" It is so sweet. :) Dax loves it and calls it Daddy. He will sit and push the button over and over. Every time he does, he has a huge grin on his face. One day, Dax dropped the moose and said, "Uh oh, Daddy fall!" It was pretty funny :)

Training

Cole has been in training for last few months in different areas of the US. Some of the stuff they do sounds pretty fun! He has been keeping us updated and has sent a few pics. :)

Fun with the cousins

I am horrible at keeping my blog updated :) Dax went and stayed in Circleville the first week I started school (Week of Aug 24th). He had a blast! He loves playing with his cousins!! He didn't want to come home when they brought him back to me. I really appreciated Ashley and Ricki watching him for me!!

Wow How Time Flies

So I'm finally getting around to updating my blog. :) We have been super busy the last month. The last few weeks have flown by. We have done everything from boating and little road trips up in the mountains to lagoon and hanging out with family. Cole has left for his duties in the military. We are able to keep in touch with him daily for right now, which is awesome.We love and miss him very much. :)

We went to Salt Lake for drill this weekend and had a BBQ for Cole at a park. Although, the weather didn't want to cooperate, it was fun. :)

Family Fun

We have been keeping busy and having a lot of fun the last few weeks. Dax is getting so big!! I can't believe all the new things he says :) We went for a ride up Cedar Mountain and took some pictures a couple days ago. It was so pretty.

Bad Day

So today we found out that Cole is being mobilized for the Navy. We love him very much and will try to be strong while he is serving.
